Vehicle Preparation Technician

Location: Vehicle Preparation Centre
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday plus Saturday rota

Join One of Norfolk's Leading Automotive Businesses

At Busseys, we're looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Vehicle Preparation Technician to join our busy Vehicle Preparation Centre.

As the automotive industry continues to evolve, you'll have the opportunity to work on the very latest Ford vehicles, including cutting-edge electric and hybrid models. With full manufacturer training and ongoing development, you'll build your skills while working with the latest diagnostic equipment and technology.

Whether you're already an experienced technician or looking to take the next step in your career, you'll become part of a supportive team that takes pride in delivering exceptional quality and putting customers first.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Vehicle Preparation Technician, you'll be responsible for ensuring every vehicle meets the highest standards before it reaches its new owner. Your role will include:

  • Carrying out vehicle preparation, servicing and repairs to manufacturer standards.
  • Diagnosing faults using the latest diagnostic equipment.
  • Following repair procedures accurately and efficiently.
  • Completing work safely while maintaining excellent quality standards.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to deliver outstanding customer satisfaction.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who:

  • Enjoys working as part of a friendly, professional team.
  • Has strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • Can work accurately from repair orders and manufacturer procedures.
  • Has a flexible and positive approach.
  • Holds a Level 2 qualification (or above) in Vehicle Maintenance.
  • Holds a full UK driving licence.
  • Holds an MOT Tester qualification or is willing to gain one with our full support.
  • Previous Main Dealer experience is advantageous but not essential.

Why Join Busseys?

Busseys has been serving Norfolk motorists for over 100 years and has proudly represented Ford since 1923. Today we're one of East Anglia's leading automotive retailers, representing Ford, BYD and INEOS Automotive, while continuing to invest in our people, technology and facilities.

When you join Busseys, you'll benefit from:

  • Competitive basic salary.
  • Generous bonus scheme.
  • Overtime opportunities.
  • Manufacturer-accredited training and clear career development.
  • Extensive electric and hybrid vehicle training.
  • State-of-the-art workshops, tools and diagnostic equipment.
  • Modern facilities with ultrafast connectivity and the latest technology.
  • A supportive, family-owned business that genuinely invests in its people.

We believe great technicians deserve great equipment, ongoing training and the opportunity to develop their careers. That's why we continually invest in both our workshops and our people, ensuring you have everything you need to do your best work.

Flexible Working

We recognise that everyone has different commitments outside of work. As a flexible and inclusive employer, we're happy to discuss a range of working patterns, including different hours and days, wherever possible.

Equality, Diversity & Inclusion

Busseys is proud to be an equal opportunities employer. We are committed to creating an inclusive workplace where everyone is treated fairly, with dignity and respect. We welcome applications from all suitably qualified candidates regardless of age, disability, gender identity, race, religion or belief, sex, sexual orientation, marriage or civil partnership, or pregnancy and maternity.

Ready to Apply?

If you're looking to develop your career with a progressive, family-owned business that invests in its people and embraces the future of automotive technology, we'd love to hear from you.
