Job description

Overview

Join to apply for the Data Product Owner / Data Consultant role at Lumenalta.

At Lumenalta, we help leading global enterprises solve complex data challenges and build systems that scale. We’re looking for experienced Data Consultants / Data Product Owners to join our client’s investment management data team. These roles are critical in driving data quality, governance, and process maturity across multiple data domains. You’ll collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to assess current processes, define roadmaps, and implement practical improvements that support better data-driven decision-making.

What You’ll Do

  • Assess and Improve Processes: Evaluate process maturity, standard adherence, and data health across domains. Identify gaps, define remediation plans, and draft actionable roadmaps.
  • Coordinate Across Domains: Identify and document data, project, and resource dependencies between domains to ensure alignment and integrated planning.
  • Facilitate Communication: Lead and manage data domain meetings, including agenda preparation, action tracking, and progress reporting.
  • Solution Design: Identify implementation challenges, propose resolutions, and define or improve operating models within and across data domains.
  • Data Reporting & Governance: Establish and maintain monthly data health and KPI reports. Support standardized demand intake and issue tracking processes for quality, governance, demand, and data debt.

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in data consulting, product ownership, or data governance roles.
  • Strong understanding of investment management data domains (portfolio, security, pricing, reference data, etc.).
  • Experience in process modeling, data lifecycle management, and governance frameworks.
  • Basic SQL knowledge to query and validate data.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and facilitation skills.
  • Proven ability to translate business needs into actionable data roadmaps and process improvements.

Locations

  • United States: candidates must be based in regions that align with the Pacific, Central, or Eastern U.S. time zones to ensure effective collaboration with client and team schedules.
  • United Kingdom: candidates must be based in the UK and will be required to work on-site for the first two weeks, then transition to remote work on UK hours thereafter.

We’re moving quickly on this search — applications will be reviewed as they’re received. The target start date is immediate, and the application window will close by the 14th of November.
