Key Responsibilities:

The Band 7 MRI Radiographer is responsible for conducting a range of diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays, CT scans, and MRI scans, while ensuring high-quality images for accurate diagnosis. They prepare patients for these procedures by explaining the process, ensuring comfort, and obtaining informed consent. The role involves operating and maintaining radiographic equipment to ensure it functions correctly and safely, as well as assisting in the initial interpretation of images and reporting significant findings to the supervising radiologist or clinician. Radiographers must adhere to quality assurance protocols and health and safety regulations to maintain high standards of practice, while also maintaining accurate patient records and documentation related to imaging procedures, including consent forms and reports. • Proficiency in using imaging equipment and a solid understanding of radiographic techniques and safety protocols.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and to lead and supervise junior staff when required.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure patient safety and accurate imaging results.
