Job Description

Overview

We're AtkinsRéalis, a world-leading design, engineering, and project management organisation. We connect people, data, and technology to transform infrastructure and energy systems.

Our Buildings and Places team deliver a wide range of projects across the UK and internationally. That's down to the strength of our people and how we work together. Join us and you'll be part of a collaborative team where you're supported to do your job well and develop your career.

We are growing our Project & Programme Management team in Scotland, with a base in Glasgow. You'll support delivery across a mix of sectors including public sector, education, residential and commercial.

We are looking for Project Managers to support our continued growth.

Bring a practical, organised approach and a focus on delivery. You'll work closely with senior colleagues, manage projects or workstreams, and build strong relationships with clients and teams.

We offer flexible and hybrid working, so we can support your commitments outside work as well.

Your role

  • Deliver project management services in a client-facing role, maintaining regular contact and building strong relationships.
  • Support the delivery of construction projects through the full project lifecycle.
  • Manage smaller projects or defined workstreams within larger programmes.
  • Work with senior colleagues and support project planning, risk management, and reporting.
  • Act as a key point of contact for clients and stakeholders on your projects.
  • Support commercial performance, including project tracking, cost control, and resource planning.
  • Ensure delivery aligns with AtkinsRéalis processes, standards, and governance.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams across design and delivery.
  • Support junior team members where required and contribute to team development.
  • Identify opportunities to add value for clients and support repeat business.
  • Contribute to bids and fee proposals where required.

About you

  • Degree qualified (or equivalent) in a construction or related discipline.
  • Working towards or recently achieved chartership (MRICS, CIOB, APM or similar).
  • Solid project management experience within the construction sector.
  • Experience working with clients and building strong working relationships.
  • Experience supporting delivery of multidisciplinary projects.
  • Knowledge of UK construction contracts (NEC, SBCC, JCT).
  • Understanding of procurement routes and project controls.
  • Good awareness of Health & Safety and environmental requirements.
  • Able to manage your own workload and support team delivery.
  • Keen to develop and progress your career.
  • Full UK driving licence.
