Job Description: Occupational Health Nurse

Provide expert occupational health support and guidance to Altrad through the delivery of:

  • effective health screening programmes
  • proactive health promotion and employee engagement initiatives
  • workplace support, risk assessment, and absence case management
  • management system and regulatory compliance

The role proactively supports and promotes employee wellbeing across Altrad by delivering professional HSE services that are designed to meet the health needs of our people and ensure organisational and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform health screening, fitness for work, and functional capability assessments.
  • Deliver health screening/surveillance programs in line with regulatory requirements (e.g. lung function, skin integrity, HAVS, hearing tests, D&A).
  • Design and promote health and wellbeing improvement initiatives and deliver health and wellbeing campaigns.
  • Support the HSEQ function with workplace hazard management by contributing to risk assessments and developing/delivering training materials.
  • Collaborate with HR to support employees in the workplace, and provide OH advice in managing the sickness absence and return-to-work process.
  • Work with Altrad’s occupational health provider to develop and deliver OH services tailored to business needs.
  • Provide on-site OH support across Altrad work sites when required.
  • Deliver professional and confidential in-house health support and maintain accurate health records in line with data protection requirements.

Education & Experience

  • Registered Nurse or Health Professional.
  • Post-registration qualification or training in OH (preferred).
  • Experience working in OH, or delivering OH services in the workplace.
  • Strong understanding of health surveillance, risk assessment, and workplace regulatory compliance.
  • Experience working as part of multidisciplinary team.
  • Empathetic and supportive communicator.
  • Willingness to be flexible and adaptable when responding to changing workplace needs.
