We’re looking for a No1 Assembly Technician to lead a small team of technicians to achieve the departments goals and project deadlines within Sub Assembly areas. The No1 Assembly Technician will be responsible for the build, service, and maintenance of a wide range of Assembly Group products to support Red Bull Advanced Technologies projects.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Responsible and accountable for delivering objectives on time, and escalating any problems identified whilst working unsupervised.
  • Ensure all assemblies and vehicles are built to drawing, operated, and maintained to the highest industry standards and in line with the latest technical documentation.
  • Keep the Assembly Team Leader informed at all times of any additional work necessary.
  • Maintain assemblies in accordance with Production Management Group for build specification, up revisions, component lifing and hardware allocations.
  • Ensure all design updates are captured via the companies change management process.
  • Communicate all build quality issues to the appropriate key stake holders, ensuring all faults and NCRs are recorded via the internal business systems.
  • Thorough understanding and application of vehicle chassis set-up procedures.
  • Supervise ‘mock up’ or ‘pre-fit’ work highlight any issues or concerns to improve the design functionality.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership skills.
  • Exhibit a high level of technical understanding of mechanical & hydraulic assemblies including the ability to interpret technical drawings and follow assembly processes and procedures.
  • Confident and capable of working to tight deadlines.
  • Be a good team player and able to lead No 2 technicians.
  • Have extremely high attention to detail.
  • Ability to problem solve in a high pressure environment.
  • Good communication skills (with various departments across the company).
  • Comfortable travelling to international destinations for work if required.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, and experience of using electronic business systems.
