Role Focus: Mental Health Clinical Lead – Young Person’s Talking Therapies Team

Location: Home-based (UK only) – Monthly travel to a Bupa site required at a minimum.

Contract: Permanent, Full-time (37.5 hours) – Flexible options available (e.g. 30 hours over 4 days)

Salary: £65,000 per annum (dependent on experience) + excellent benefits

What you’ll do

This is a pivotal leadership position within our newly established Young Persons Mental Health service. You’ll help shape the future of the service, ensuring clinical excellence and outstanding care delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading clinical performance and oversight of Young Persons Mental Health practitioners
  • Collaborating with the Clinical Head of Mental Health on governance, quality, and education
  • Driving quality improvement initiatives
  • Delivering clinical sessions one day per week
  • Supporting clinician development and career pathways
  • Providing input to commercial teams
  • Acting as a trusted clinical voice and deputy to the Clinical Head of Mental Health

Essential Qualifications

One of the following (substantial experience in Young Persons services required):

  • Chartered Clinical or Counselling Psychologist (Doctorate level, BPS-accredited, HCPC registered)
  • Accredited CBT Psychotherapist (Postgraduate diploma, BABCP-accredited)
  • Accredited Counsellor/Psychotherapist (Level 4+ diploma, BACP-accredited)
  • Note: All with substantial experience in Young Persons services

Key Skills

  • 1 year + experience in CAMHS
  • Strong leadership in a mental health setting, preferably in young persons mental health and stakeholder relationship management
  • Clinical quality and risk management expertise
  • Excellent communication and decision-making skills
  • Commercial awareness and adaptability
  • IT proficiency and a solution-focused mindset
