Join Our Team as Senior IT Procurement Manager

We are excited to invite applications for the role of Senior IT Procurement Manager at the ICAEW. In this key position, you will provide strategic procurement expertise to the organisation building stakeholder and supplier relationships working closely with IT to ensure governance, drive commercial value and deliver the IT procurement strategy. This role offers a rare opportunity to support and develop the new Centralised Procurement Function and make a positive impact within ICAEW.

Overall Purpose of this role of Senior IT Procurement Manager.

In this key position, you will provide strategic procurement expertise to the organisation building stakeholder and supplier relationships working closely with IT to ensure governance, drive commercial value and deliver the IT procurement strategy.

The Senior IT procurement Manager will be responsible for sourcing and supplier management activities for commercial contracts relating to IT. We are looking for someone who is commercially astute with advanced negotiation skills and experienced in contracting models and agreements. This role will ensure that the ICAEW suppliers deliver quality and value aligning to our own values and commitments to our members. The Senior IT procurement Manager will have the opportunity to impact best practice procurement, provide expertise and contribute to the success of ICAEW.

Working closely with stakeholders, suppliers, and governance teams, this position will support all areas of the business where there is an IT element to their procurement requirement. The role will standardise procurements across the business, drive continuous improvements, ensure our strategic suppliers are monitored and managed in accordance with the contract and ICAEW Strategy.

Senior IT Procurement Manager Responsibilities include:

• Provide strategic IT category expertise
• Review and identify opportunities in the IT spend to develop and maintain the category plan
• Manage IT tenders from strategic planning to contract completion
• Identify and manage key suppliers mitigating risks, understand market trends and monitor supplier performance
• Support contract owners to ensure contracted SLAs and KPIs are met
• Know the suppliers, the services they provide and their product development strategy
• Specific duties will vary from time to time in line with the business needs

Senior IT Procurement Manager Candidate Profile

• Advanced IT and Digital Procurement S2P experience
• Experienced with commercial IT and Digital contract negotiation
• Proficient in complex contracts with a good understanding of the S2P lifecycle
• Strong technical background in supplier management experience
• Excellent organisational, analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication abilities to engage stakeholders and suppliers at all levels
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Demonstrated success in cost optimisation, value realisation, and spend analysis across IT categories
• Understanding of software licensing models, including SaaS, perpetual, subscription, and cloud-based agreements
• Familiar with information security, GDPR, and regulatory compliance as it applies to third party IT services
