The Role

Join our growing LabLogic team as a HR Assistant based at our Sheffield head office. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on HR experience while studying towards a CIPD Level 3 Foundation Certificate in People Management, giving you the qualifications and skills to build a long-term HR career with us.

You will work closely with our HR Coordinator and HR Director providing essential support across the full employee lifecycle—from recruitment and onboarding to performance management and HR processes. You’ll be part of a supportive team, where people and culture are at the heart of what we do.

This is an office-based role, reflecting our strong family atmosphere and people-first approach. It’s ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, has excellent attention to detail, and is eager to develop their HR career as part of a growing, world leading organisation.

  • Coordinating the recruitment process to ensure managers receive high quality candidates
  • Supporting onboarding for new starters; collaborating with multiple departments
  • Working with managers in various performance management processes
  • Overseeing the offboarding process
  • Supporting HR processes for our US and French companies
  • Managing the HR inbox

The above list is not exhaustive and, as such, you may be required to undertake other duties as appropriate.

Requirements

  • Strong interest in developing a HR career
  • Willingness to study towards CIPD Level 3 in People Management (fully supported by the company)
  • Excellent people skills and communication abilities (being a people person is essential to being a success in HR at LabLogic!)
  • Experience in an office-based role, with confidence in handling data and information
  • Attention to detail and a strong focus on quality
  • Organised with effective prioritisation skills
  • Strong IT skills (particularly Microsoft Excel)
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to other sites
  • Employment law knowledge
  • Experience of working in a HR role

We invest in our people

In addition to your CIPD training and development, we offer a wide range of benefits that help create a great place to work, including:

  • You will receive all bank holidays plus 24 days holiday per year (increasing over service) + additional day off over Christmas
  • UK team building weekend at Center Parcs for employees and their families to attend
  • Private medical insurance with BUPA
  • 24-hour access to wellbeing support through our Employee Assistance Helpline
  • Scottish Widows pension scheme
