Role Overview

Wipro is looking for a Senior Business Analyst to work in the UK on a permanent basis. The purpose of this role is to provide the analysis to drive and shape the requirements for our transformational projects to deliver the desired business outcomes and help deliver the transition to our client and a zero carbon electricity network. The role will operate in one of our core business areas and, depending on project size, you may be working individually or as part of a team.

This role will apply the principles of Agile DevSecOps in gathering and defining requirements and adopt a customer centric approach to achieving the desired business outcomes. The senior business analyst will work closely with both strategic business analysts and/or lead business analysts to ensure that the project scope is continually respected throughout delivery and the intended outcomes are achieved.

What you will do:

1. Identify opportunities to improve business performance through business process engineering and identifying opportunities for digital transformation.
2. Gather and analyse data to create insights leading to informed decision making.
3. Understand, develop and maintain up to date directorate knowledge and translate our clients priorities and outcomes into delivery of project output.
4. Apply business modelling techniques to understand the business domain and stakeholders’ perspectives to establish how processes, systems, data and people interact and the impact of change on these.
5. Conduct user research to identify user needs and end to end journeys that need to be considered in development.
6. Define User Stories that can be understood by technical and non-technical stakeholders to include non-functional requirements and acceptance criteria written in an appropriate format, e.g. Behaviour Driven Development.
7. Create documentation and diagrams to enhance User Stories where necessary, e.g. Wireframes, data models, etc.
8. Building and managing trusting relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
9. Actively contributing to the growth and development of the BA Community of Practice through sharing knowledge and expertise.

What you will bring:

Successful candidates will need to demonstrate the following skills:

1. Considerable experience as a Business Analyst with expertise in power systems, energy markets, and grid management.
2. Ability to take initiative and act in a proactive manner.
3. Customer Centric and digitally driven with the ability to communicate effectively and adapt to an ever-changing landscape where priorities will change.
4. Extensive experience in business situation analysis, including problem identification, root cause analysis, stakeholder engagement, and solution evaluation.
5. Strong ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders to align vision, objectives, and outcomes.
6. Strong ability to adopt and use the most appropriate tools (mural, ADO etc) and techniques (VSM, design thinking, BPM, user research, wire-framing etc).
7. Core understanding of Digital Delivery and Agile DevSecOps aspects such as design thinking, CI/CD, Cloud, Value measurement and benefit tracking etc and demonstrable experience in applying these.
8. Considerable experience as a Business Analyst working within an IT / Digital environment.
9. Considerable experience working as a Business Analyst in an Agile delivery environment.
10. Applicants should ideally possess a bachelor’s degree or have the equivalent digital, data or technology specific industry experience.

Applicants might require NSV Security clearance, and hence in addition to background check need to meet the criteria for applying for it. Applicants should also be able to continuously maintain this clearance.
