Base pay rangeJoin Our Occupational Therapy Service – Social Care Worker Roles AvailableBased in Penrith (Eden) and Bank Opportunities Across Westmorland and FurnessWe’re looking for enthusiastic, holistic, and customer-focused Social Care Workers to join our busy and supportive Occupational Therapy service within Adult Social Care. We have a permanent role based in Eden (Penrith) and bank opportunities across various locations, offering flexibility and the chance to make a real difference in local communities.As part of our team, you’ll work in people’s homes and communities to support individuals and their carers in achieving their goals, maintaining independence, and living well. About the RoleYou’ll support individuals to manage their lives independently by:Identifying adaptive techniques or suitable equipmentWorking closely with Occupational Therapists and Social WorkersSignposting to partner agencies and community resourcesPromoting independence through rehabilitative and strength-based approachesYou’ll also contribute to assessments and planning, ensuring interventions are safe, practical, and empowering.Who We’re Looking ForWe’re seeking team members who:Have experience in adult social care and supporting people with varied needsUnderstand the principles of the Care Act and are familiar with Disabled Facilities Grants, Minor Aids, and AdaptationsCan explore rehabilitative, compensatory and adaptive approaches before recommending equipmentAre confident in working collaboratively with professionals, carers, and wider networksCan explain and reflect on their decisions in a clear, thoughtful mannerWhether you're interested in a regular position in Penrith or flexible work across the region as a bank worker, you'll be part of a passionate, forward-thinking team with opportunities to grow.
