We’re exclusively partnered with a high-growth company in Surrey looking for a commercially-minded Head of Finance to take full ownership of their finance operations and play a key role in driving strategic growth.

Your Impact

As Head of Finance, you’ll be the financial backbone of the business, ensuring robust reporting, compliance, and insight-driven decision-making. You’ll lead the finance team and work cross-functionally to support project delivery, commercial success, and facilitate their continued growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and develop the full finance function to support scalable growth
  • Deliver accurate financial reporting, KPIs, dashboards and insights
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial scenario planning
  • Oversee project P&Ls and support financial modelling for proposals
  • Ensure revenue recognition aligns with accounting standards
  • Drive cash flow forecasting and working capital management
  • Manage invoicing, collections, banking relationships and treasury
  • Strengthen finance integration with project teams
  • Handle AP/AR, VAT returns, expenses, and statutory compliance
  • Liaise with external accountants and auditors for year-end and tax matters
  • Implement and maintain strong internal controls and financial policies

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW)
  • Experience in an SME environment
  • Background in consulting or professional services
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Project accounting knowledge
  • Understanding of UK tax regulations including R&D credits
