Job Description

Do you have experience in Healthcare and want to join the UK team of our Global Healthcare Division? Are you excited about understanding, interpreting, and navigating complex engineering issues? Are you motivated by creating sustainable change that benefits society and nature?

If this sounds like you, or you’re curious to learn more, then this role could be the perfect opportunity. Join the UK team of our Global Healthcare Division as our new Senior Project Manager and work with us to close the gap to a sustainable future.

Your new role

As our new Senior Project Manager, you will support the growth of the UK Healthcare Team. You will be working with our existing team, focussing on projects in London and South East England, but with opportunities to support healthcare projects throughout the UK and globally. You will have a focus on technical delivery and an excellent understanding of client care.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Delivery of projects from inception to completion, ensuring that scope, contracts, programmes, change management, risk registers, budgets and QA procedures are in place and maintained
  • Raise the profile and reputation of the UK Healthcare Team
  • Manage the design process through design workshops and leading project meetings
  • Management of the progress of multi-disciplinary engineering advisory and design solutions by Ramboll’s in-house teams and specialist sub-consultants
  • Inspire and enthuse the engineers and technicians on your projects
  • Liaise with clients and collaborators, representing Ramboll at project meetings
  • Manage sub-consultants as the project requires, including Quantity Surveyors, Architects and specialist designers
  • Implement best practice procedures to enhance and maintain delivery of sustainable, zero carbon, innovative and quality advisory and design services
  • Take responsibility for day-to-day management of all project activity, including monthly reports, minutes, MS Project programmes and delivery of presentations

Your new team

You will be part of an expanding and dynamic team. We have a rich portfolio of work that makes a difference to those who experience it. Working with the leading UK and international architects, we are recognised for our bold innovative approach, that is underpinned by our Scandinavian design heritage and foundation ownership. We offer a supporting and collaborative culture and operate a flexible working policy. You will be part of an exciting team of experts, who respect each other and work towards a common goal. You will be part of the UK buildings team and will have the opportunity to travel throughout the UK and abroad.

About You

From the moment you start at Ramboll, we will support your personal and professional development so that you can continue to grow with the company. Whilst we look forward to supporting your continued learning and development, for this role we have identified some qualifications, skills, and capabilities that will set you up for success.

  • Must have demonstrable experience with UK Healthcare sector projects, such as the building of hospitals within the UK
  • Minimum HNC/HND or equivalent in a relevant discipline
  • MAPM or qualifications leading to full individual membership of an appropriate institution
  • Have a thorough understanding of digital design delivery through Revit/BIM 360
  • Excellent and demonstratable project management skills, with the ability to run multiple projects of varying size and complexity
  • Experience of managing commercial processes on projects
  • Understanding of project commercial and technical risks, procurement methods and contract administration requirements
  • Excellent communicator capable of explaining complex technical concepts in plain language, verbally and in writing
  • Able to interrogate financial information and write high quality reports
  • Able to motivate and inspire confidence both internally and externally across geographical borders
  • Able to manage stakeholder requirements and communicate them back to project teams, both in the UK and across geographical borders

What We Can Offer You

  • Investment in your development
  • Leaders you can count on, guided by our Leadership Principles
  • Be valued for the unique person you are
  • Never be short of inspiration from colleagues, clients, and projects
  • The long-term thinking of a foundation-owned company
  • Be at the forefront of the use of digital tools
  • Flexible work environment
  • 27 days annual leave plus bank holidays
  • Matched pension contributions
  • A host of subsidised benefits including private medical insurance and cycle-to-work
