First Registrations - Clerical/Admin Officer
Location: Gloucester, GL1 (fully office based)
Contract: Temporary, currently until 4th December 2026 (may be a chance of an extension)
Hours: Full Time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm/9am-5pm (flexibility required)
Pay rate: £13.90ph, paid weekly
Start Date: Monday 15th June 2026
Join a service-wide team within HM Land Registry, where you'll play a key role in delivering essential clerical and administrative support across a range of operational duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Controlling the distribution and allocation of applications - ensuring smooth workflow across the service
- Liaise with operational teams on the escalation of applications
- Maintain application lists to support accurate processing
- Local scanning and printing
- Correspondence with customers
- Maintain accurate records of actions taken using PAS and any issued correspondence
- Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying recurring issues or documentation gaps
- Any additional administrative tasks as required
- Review applications approaching cancellation
- Telephone lodging conveyancers to confirm receipt of correspondence and extension of time
Essential Skills and Experience
- Admin and customer service experience in an office-based environment
- Organised and able to prioritise workload effectively
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to make sound evidence-based decisions
- Good computer skills including Outlook, Word, Excel
- Ability to communicate effectively on the telephone
Successful candidates will be subject to a basic DBS check and 3 years of referencing.
