ROLE: Maintenance Technician
SHIFT: 4 on 4 off shift pattern (10-hour shifts)
LOCATION: Leeds

We're looking for a dedicated Maintenance Technician to support the smooth operation of three leisure centres across Leeds: Morley, Armley, and Holt Park. This role follows a four-day rolling shift pattern, with a primary base at one site but the flexibility to provide cover at the others when needed.

Role Responsibilities:

• As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the centres remain safe, functional, and welcoming for all users. Your responsibilities will include maintaining pool water quality and managing plant operations.
• A typical day may include opening and closing procedures, conducting daily pool water checks, managing contractors on site, liaising with council teams, and using the CAFM system to manage and record tasks.
• You'll assess and complete maintenance jobs within your skillset or coordinate with colleagues and contractors when needed. You'll also support the wider team with general site duties, which may include cleaning, janitorial tasks, and litter picking.
• Reactive maintenance tasks can range from minor repairs such as wall filling, decorating, leak repairs, and plumbing, to lamp changes, tile grouting, silicone sealing, and general handyman duties. Pool plant management will also be a key part of your responsibilities.

Required Qualifications:

• We are seeking someone with a solid understanding of building maintenance and facilities management, ideally with experience in a similar role.
• Previous experience in pool plant management is preferred, although we welcome candidates with transferable skills and a willingness to learn. Full training, including the National Pool Plant Operator qualification, will be provided.
• You should be proactive, safety-conscious, and committed to delivering high standards of work. A good knowledge of health and safety practices is essential, though training will be provided.
