\n Are you passionate about helping children and families overcome challenges and achieve lasting positive change? Service Care Solutions is recruiting an experienced Family Practitioner to join a dedicated Children's Services team in Staffordshire, working with children, young people and families through a restorative and strengths-based approach.\n
\n

\n The Role As a Family Practitioner, you will work directly with children, young people, parents, carers and partner agencies to provide intensive support and intervention. You'll play a key role in preventing family breakdown, supporting children in need, and working alongside Social Workers to deliver effective plans that improve outcomes for vulnerable children.\n
\n
\n Using a restorative practice approach, you'll build positive relationships with families while providing both support and appropriate challenge to encourage sustainable change.\n

\n Key Responsibilities\n
    \n
  • Work directly with children and families to help children remain safely within their family or return home where appropriate.
    • \n
  • Complete Early Help Assessments and contribute to Child in Need, Child Protection and Children in Care plans.
    • \n
  • Deliver targeted interventions focusing on parenting, behaviour management, attachment, conflict resolution, safeguarding, exploitation, loss and grief.
    • \n
  • Undertake parenting assessments and contribute to wider family assessments.
    • \n
  • Organise and facilitate family meetings, professional meetings and group sessions.
    • \n
  • Provide practical support, crisis intervention and mediation to families.
    • \n
  • Build strong multi-agency relationships to ensure coordinated support.
    • \n
  • Maintain accurate case recordings, reports and documentation.
    • \n
  • Work flexibly, including occasional evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of children and families.
    • \n
About You We're looking for someone who has:\n
\n
\n
    \n
  • NVQ Level 3 in Children & Young People's Workforce, Health & Social Care or an equivalent qualification.
    • \n
  • Experience working directly with vulnerable children, young people and families within statutory or voluntary services.
    • \n
  • Knowledge of safeguarding legislation, child development and trauma-informed practice.
    • \n
  • Understanding of issues including domestic abuse, substance misuse, mental health, poverty and exploitation.
    • \n
  • Experience completing assessments and delivering targeted interventions.
    • \n
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
    • \n
  • Strong written recording and IT skills.
    • \n
  • The ability to work confidently in challenging and emotionally demanding situations.
    • \n
  • A commitment to restorative practice and achieving positive outcomes for children.
    • \n
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (essential).
    • \n
