We are looking for a Business Development Manager to grow our business across the Health Sector

Make a difference and share the rewards of our growth by helping deliver some of the UK’s most important #tech4good solutions, making the world a smarter, safer, greener, and healthier place.

You’ll join a talented team of dynamic and driven professional problem solvers, creative thinkers, and solutions builders who thrive on helping clients meet the most exciting digital transformation challenges.

At a certified Great Place to Work® you’ll experience a dynamic and nurturing environment that rewards initiative and flexibility, and enjoy a career path tailored to your own aspirations.

About Us

The winner of two Queen’s Award for Innovation, Informed Solutions delivers products and services for large-scale digital transformation using data and AI. Our digital, data and technology solutions are used by a growing number of organisations working in national, regional, and private sector healthcare settings.

Business Development Manager Position

We are seeking a Business Development Manager to work as a leader within our Health Sector Team

Two-time winners of the Queen’s Awards for Innovation in 2018 and 2022, Informed Solutions products and services help clients accelerate and de-risk digital business change, improving customer satisfaction by creating better online experiences and transforming operational effectiveness through AI-enabled and data science-powered decision support.

As Business Development Manager you will have a key role in building trusted relationships and developing business with new clients with the healthcare sector. You will:

  • Play a role in securing enterprise-level sales within the healthcare sector at national and regional levels within public and private sector settings
  • Lead business development efforts of the wider healthcare team, including leading on bid and proposition development.
  • In partnership with the Healthcare Sector Lead, direct and manage prospecting and new business activity through the end-to-end business development cycle from prospecting to proposal delivery
  • Collaborate with Health Sector Leads in Identifying ‘good’ business (profitable, relevant, good for our business, and good for our people).
  • All opportunities identified will need to be qualified for factors including profitability and alignment with business objectives and be approved by the Business Management Team.
  • Ensure a collaborative and respectful approach for team working on all business development activity through the sales cycle.
  • Build strategic partnerships and alliances from across our marketplace to ensure we offer the most attractive mix of capability and capacity to our prospective clients.
  • Help to continually evolve our healthcare value propositions for both transformation services and our product lines.
  • Build strong, lasting client relationships based on trust, including negotiating and building rapport with senior stakeholders.
  • Maintain competitiveness, continually improving our market offering, and evolving our business development operating model

Requirements

Senior colleagues, experts, and leaders at Informed Solutions are committed to supporting, coaching, upskilling, and enabling the success and career progression of each other.

There are some foundation areas, however, which you need to possess to be able to successfully contribute to your team and work alongside others.

Key abilities that are necessary for success

  • Able to work effectively in environments where you can adapt to innovative practices involving uncertainty, change, and agile working.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and your time so you can deliver high-quality work within deadlines.
  • Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to respect and accept different perspectives and disagreement, work collaboratively in diverse teams, and maintain positive working relationships.
  • Good judgement and decision-making in complex environments where uncertainty, ambiguity, and risk must be collaboratively managed by working supportively alongside others.
  • Good communication skills, including clear, constructive written outputs and measured, respectful verbal delivery.

We work in a fast-paced, ever-evolving innovation and problem-solving workplace environment where no two days are the same. This requires you to have the foundations of personal resilience, professional adaptability, and flexibility in working alongside others with a positive mindset.

We appreciate that this workplace culture and the level of variety won’t suit everyone. However, after significant consultations with colleagues at all levels, we understand that these are the fundamentals of success in undertaking the complex, innovation work which is the DNA of Informed Solutions.

These shared foundations are important to team cohesion, performance, and mutual personal support.

As colleagues, we thrive in successfully problem solving together to deliver real-world impact; and value the variety of challenges and opportunities to learn, grow, and progress on a personal and professional level.

Location

There is flexibility to be based out of our London or Manchester offices; however, given the nature of the role, you will need to travel to co-locate with colleagues and clients across the UK, developing strategic relationships through the appropriate combination of face-to-face and digital engagement.
