Role Overview

We are looking for Housekeepers to join our friendly team at Canterbury Reach Lodge Retreat, part of Darwin Escapes.

This role is perfect for someone who takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and enjoys working as part of a supportive team. You will help prepare our luxury holiday accommodation to ensure every guest arrives to a spotless, welcoming lodge and enjoys an exceptional stay.

This is a permanent part-time position, with hours worked across weekdays, weekends and bank holidays, depending on business needs.

Housekeeper – Roles & Responsibilities

Accommodation Cleaning

• Clean and prepare lodges and holiday accommodation to company standards for guest arrivals.
• Change bed linen and make beds neatly.
• Thoroughly clean kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms and living areas.
• Vacuum, dust, mop floors and wipe down all surfaces.
• Ensure each accommodation unit is presented to a high standard before guest check-in.

Guest Experience

• Make sure all accommodation feels welcoming, fresh and presentable for guests.
• Report maintenance issues or damages promptly to management.
• Maintain cleanliness in communal areas when required.

Team Support

• Work collaboratively with other housekeeping team members, particularly during changeover days.
• Support supervisors in preparing accommodation efficiently within allocated timeframes.
• Follow company cleaning checklists, procedures and standards consistently.

Health & Safety

• Use cleaning products and equipment safely and as instructed.
• Store cleaning materials safely and appropriately.
• Adhere to all health and safety policies and procedures at all times.

What We're Looking For

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work weekends and bank holidays as required.
• Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.

About The Role

As a Housekeeper at Canterbury Reach Lodge Retreat, you will play a key role in creating exceptional first impressions for our guests. You'll be responsible for cleaning and preparing our luxury holiday lodges to the highest standards, ensuring each one is spotless, welcoming, and ready for arrival. Working as part of a friendly team, you'll help deliver the high-quality experience our guests expect while maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout the resort.
