About the Role:

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Hot Tub Maintenance Assistant to join our team at Darwin Escapes.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in high standards and is passionate about delivering an excellent guest experience. In this role, you will support the maintenance, cleaning and upkeep of hot tubs across the park, ensuring they are safe, clean and fully operational for guests to enjoy.

This is a practical role suited to someone who is proactive, organised and able to work both independently and as part of a team.

This is a permanent, full-time position working variable days, including weekends and bank holidays.

Cheddar Woods Resort & Spa by Darwin Escapes is set within the stunning Somerset countryside, on the edge Cheddar Gorge—one of the UK’s most striking natural landmarks. Surrounded by rolling hills and woodland, it offers a peaceful setting perfect for escaping and recharging. The resort features stylish lodges alongside high-quality facilities, including a spa, swimming pool, gym, and on-site restaurant. With its blend of natural beauty and modern comfort, it’s an ideal place to relax, explore, and enjoy everything the surrounding area has to offer.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out daily cleaning, testing and maintenance of hot tubs• Monitor and maintain water quality and chemical levels in line with health & safety standards• Complete routine checks to ensure hot tubs are operating safely and efficiently• Identify and report faults, damages or maintenance issues promptly• Assist with basic repairs and servicing where required• Ensure all hot tub areas are clean, tidy and well-presented at all times• Maintain accurate records of checks, maintenance and water testing• Respond efficiently to guest and maintenance requests• Follow all company procedures and health & safety regulations• Work closely with other departments to support the overall guest experience

What We’re Looking For:

• Previous experience in maintenance, leisure or hot tub/pool maintenance is desirable but not essential• A practical and hands-on approach to work• Good attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness• Ability to work independently and as part of a team• Good organisational and time management skills• A positive attitude and strong work ethic• Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions• Flexibility to work weekends and bank holidays

Additional Information:

This is a permanent role and will require flexibility to work weekends and bank holidays in line with business needs.

This role is primarily outdoors and will involve manual handling tasks, regular use of cleaning products and chemicals, and working in varying weather conditions.
