Description

Asbestos Surveyor
Riverside Environmental Services

Who we are
Riverside Environmental Services is one of the UK's leading asbestos consultancies, delivering high quality asbestos surveying, analytical and consultancy services to a diverse portfolio of clients across commercial, residential, industrial and public sector environments.

We pride ourselves on doing things the right way – investing in our people, maintaining the highest technical standards and building long-term relationships with both our clients and employees. As we continue to grow across London and the South East, we are looking for experienced Asbestos Surveyors to join a business where your development is genuinely supported and your contribution is recognised.

Part of the Celnor Group
Celnor Group is a UK-based environmental services group operating across the Testing, Inspection, Certification and Compliance (TICC) landscape. With a growing portfolio of specialist businesses, Celnor provides essential services that protect people, property and the environment.

While each business retains its own identity, culture and technical specialism, all are supported by a central group function that invests in people, systems and long-term sustainable growth.

Job details
This role is central to the day-to-day success of the business and contributes directly to operational performance and customer outcomes

At Riverside, we're committed to developing careers, not just filling vacancies.
We actively invest in our people, offering clear progression routes into Lead Surveyor, Team Leader, Auditing, Project Lead and Project Management positions. Through our dedicated training school, you'll have the opportunity to support and mentor new surveyors and analysts while developing your own leadership skills. We also support additional qualifications such as P403, P404, P405 and other industry-recognised courses, ensuring you can continue to grow your technical expertise within a business where your contribution is valued and you're treated as a person, not a number.

What you will do
  • Conduct Management, Refurbishment and Demolition asbestos surveys.
  • Collect accurate site information and asbestos samples.
  • Produce high quality survey reports and technical documentation.
  • Work across a varied portfolio of domestic, commercial and industrial sites.
  • Build positive relationships with clients and site stakeholders.
  • Maintain compliance with company procedures and industry standards.
  • Support and mentor trainee surveyors.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement, compliance and quality standards.

Who you are
You are an experienced and motivated professional who takes pride in delivering quality work and maintaining high standards. You will ideally have:
  • BOHS P402 qualification or equivalent.
  • Previous experience carrying out asbestos surveys.
  • A strong understanding of HSG264 and asbestos legislation.
  • A full UK driving licence.
  • A high level of attention to detail and accountability.
Join us
You’ll be joining a business where your contribution matters and where professionalism, integrity and teamwork are genuinely valued. As part of the wider Celnor Group, you’ll benefit from group-wide investment, shared expertise and opportunities to develop your career as the organisation continues to grow.

Benefits
  • Annual leave entitlement of 20 days plus bank holidays, with the opportunity to earn up to 5 additional loyalty days.
  • Life Assurance scheme providing Death in Service cover of 2x annual salary following successful completion of 6 months' service.
  • Company vehicle available for both business and personal use, or a car allowance option, with a fuel card provided.
  • Company pension scheme operated through salary exchange.
  • Access to an Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) offering confidential wellbeing and support services.
  • Ongoing training and professional development fully funded through recognised industry training providers.
  • Clear career progression opportunities with structured development pathways across the business.
  • Full provision of high-quality equipment, including smartphone, tablet, tools and all required PPE.
  • Employee recognition and reward initiatives, including vouchers, experiences and performance-based awards.
  • Access to exclusive employee discounts and benefits through BenefitHub.
  • A positive team culture with regular social events, charity initiatives and company gatherings, including annual summer BBQs.
