M&E Project Manager – Hard FM Provider – Central London - Up to 80K + package \n
\n
\n One of the UK's most established maintenance service providers is currently looking for a M&E Project Manager to join their team to work across a number of high profile contracts based in Central London.\n
\n
\n The M&E Project Manager will be initially looking after projects up to the value of 500k and these will include plant replacements, refurbishments and installations. The value of the projects will grow over the course of the next year and the values could rise to around the £2 mill mark.\n
\n
\n The role will be working closely with and supported by the existing engineering team and will be expected to manage the projects from start to finish. \n
\n
\n The key responsibilities are as follows:\n
\n
    \n
  • Identify sales opportunities.
    • \n
  • Scope projects.
    • \n
  • Develop and apply appropriate specifications.
    • \n
  • Prepare project programs.
    • \n
  • Identify and assess contractors.
    • \n
  • Recommend contractors for appointment.
    • \n
  • Chair project meetings.
    • \n
  • Liaise with the contract managers.
    • \n
  • Plan delivery to minimise impact on day to day operations.
    • \n
  • Manage team resources.
    • \n
  • Deliver projects on time, quality and budget parameters.
    • \n
  • Ensure project compliance.
    • \n
  • Manage and control project costs.
    • \n
The ideal candidate for the role must be able to meet the following criteria:\n
\n
    \n
  • Must be fully electrically or mechanically qualified to a recognised level.
    • \n
  • Must have a technical understanding of building services engineering systems.
    • \n
  • Excellent project management skills.
    • \n
  • Previous experience of working on projects involving plant replacements.
    • \n
  • Previous experience with the commercial, built environment.
    • \n
  • Experience of managing engineering projects in a similar environment.
    • \n
  • Managing progress reports and people and stakeholder expectations.
    • \n
  • Strong communication, influencing and planning skills.
    • \n
  • Experience of working on engineering refurbishment projects and managing complex technical constructions in a live environment.
    • \n
  • Fully acquainted with the requirements of the CDM Regulations to ensure all projects are always fully compliant with Health & Safety legislation.
