The business is continuing to invest in its tax offering and now seeks an experienced VAT professional to join its established team. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside experienced specialists, gain exposure to a wide variety of technical projects and play a key role in the continued growth of the service line.
Your new role
As VAT Manager, you will manage a diverse portfolio of clients and provide bothpliance and advisory support across a broad range of indirect tax matters. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will be a trusted adviser to your clients, helping them navigate increasinglyplex VAT legislation whilst identifying opportunities to add value.
Your responsibilities will include overseeing VATpliance processes, supporting clients with VAT registrations and group registrations, advising on option-to-tax matters, undertaking VAT reviews and due diligence projects, and providing technical guidance onplex VAT issues. You will also support business development initiatives, contribute to winning new work and play an active role in strengthening existing client relationships.
Alongside your client responsibilities, you will mentor and develop junior team members, review work, manage workflow and contribute to the continued success and growth of the VAT team.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have previous VAT experience gained within practice, industry or HMRC and possess a strong understanding of UK VAT legislation. Experience managing client relationships and delivering VAT advisory projects will be essential.
The successful candidate will ideally hold a relevant professional qualification such as CTA, ATT, ACA, ACCA or CA, although candidates qualified by experience will also be considered. You will be confident managingpeting priorities, reviewing technical work and building trusted relationships with both clients and colleagues.
Strongmercial awareness, excellentmunication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving will be key to success in this role.
