Learning Support Assistant

Full-time, Temp to Perm Contract - September start!
Academics are seeking an experienced and engaging Learning Support Assistant to join an SEN School in the New Forest area in between Brockenhurst and Lymington. This is a full-time, temporary to permanent contact starting in September.
Working hours are 8.30am - 4.30pm Monday-Thursday and 8.30am - 4pm on a Friday. This is a term-time role working 39 weeks of the year, paying £14.24 per hour.
You must have a C/4 of above in your English and Maths GCSE to be considered for the role. Evidence of this must be provided.
The school caters for pupils aged 7-19 years who are diagnosed with aspergers syndrome and other associated needs on the autistic spectrum. You will be required to support pupils across the school in small groups and on a 1:1 basis.
The suitable Learning Support Assistant will have experience of supporting children with special educational needs, ideally within an SEN environment. You will be empathetic, nurturing, be able to manage varying levels of challenging behaviour and have the ability to think on your feet and adapt to situations.
