Plater

We are looking for an experienced Plater to join our client on a temp to perm basis, with an established Engineering company at their site in Worsley. They operate across multiple industries, offering the opportunity to work on a variety of projects for high profile clients in a collaborative team environment, with plenty of overtime available. Pay & Hours: £17.50/hr, 38 hrs/week (Mon–Thu 7:00–17:00) Overtime optional: Fri £26.25/hr | Sat first 5 hrs £26.25/hr, thereafter £35.00/hr | Sun £35.00/hr Plater Key Responsibilities: * Read, interpret and work from detailed technical fabrication drawings and specifications. * Mark out, cut, prepare and shape medium to heavy-gauge steel components and structural steelwork sections. * Carry out fabrication and assembly work to the required specifications and quality standards. * Prepare and shape plate and section ready for welding and final assembly. * Cut, shape and join plate metal, steel and aluminium. * Inspect and quality check completed work to ensure it meets project requirements. * Maintain equipment and small tools used for assembly, welding and calibration.
