Spencer Clarke Group are currently recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants for a range of schools across Chorley and the surrounding areas.
We have opportunities available for day-to-day supply, short-term and longer-term assignments, as well as temp-to-perm opportunities for candidates looking for a potential permanent position.
The Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
Support pupils with a range of special educational needs
Provide 1:1 and small-group support
Assist pupils with their learning and development
Support pupils with their social, emotional and behavioural needs
Help pupils engage with classroom activities and the wider curriculum
Work alongside teachers and other support staff
Promote positive behaviour and encourage pupil independence
Help create a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment
Adapt your approach to meet individual pupils' needs
Requirements
Previous experience working with children or young people
Experience supporting pupils with SEN is desirable
A patient, caring and supportive approach
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to build positive relationships with pupils
A flexible and adaptable approach
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
A genuine passion for supporting children and young people
Relevant qualifications or training are desirable but not essential
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 14.3% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
