Description
:Are you a meticulous and analytical professional with a passion for laboratory work? Contribute to our success by performing detailed analysis on oil, fuel, and coolant samples using a variety of manual and automated techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
Sample Analysis: Perform analyses on batches of oil, fuel, and coolant samples using techniques such as ICP-OES, Head Space GC FID/TCD, GC-FID, FTIR, XRF, Karl Fischer, autotitrators, discrete analyser, automated liquid handling equipment, viscosity and wet chemistry.
Sample Preparation: Sort and prepare samples into batches, ensuring strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Process Improvement: Investigate and implement new laboratory process improvements as directed by the Analytical Services Supervisor.
Data Management: Accurately enter sample data and results into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
Document Management: Write and review Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) standards as assigned by the Supervisor.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
Relevant industrial laboratory experience or qualified to degree level in a scientific discipline.
Strong analytical skills with experience in various laboratory techniques and equipment.
Good understanding of COSHH, Laboratory H&S practices and GLP.
Excellent attention to detail and adherence to SOPs.
Strong people skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
Good communication skills
