The role
As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you’ll support the commercial management of projects from contract award through to completion, helping to ensure strong financial control, effective contract management, and successful project delivery.
This is a great opportunity to develop your career within a collaborative team, gaining hands-on experience across cost control, contract administration, and commercial reporting while working on essential rail projects.
Day-to-day, you will be:
- Supporting the commercial management of projects, including cost tracking and reporting
- Preparing and submitting applications for payment, variations, and change requests
- Assisting with subcontractor procurement and contract administration
- Maintaining accurate commercial records and documentation
- Attending project meetings and helping track risks and opportunities.
This is a full-time role working 35 hours per week, with hybrid working (3 days onsite, 2 from home).
Essential experience of the Assistant Quantity Surveyor:
- Experience in a commercial, quantity surveying, estimating, or contract administration role
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders
- Basic understanding of contracts and commercial processes.
Qualifications for the Assistant Quantity Surveyor:
Degree in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent) or working towards a relevant qualification.
