About the Team

You will join the JD.com team, which values collaboration, empowerment, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Job Summary

Based in London, the HRBP (Human Resources Business Partner) will act as a strategic partner to the leadership team, driving the organizational effectiveness of our growing UK operations. You will serve as a bridge between local business strategy and our global HR framework, fostering a high-performance culture that balances rapid growth with operational excellence. This role is ideal for a high-potential professional who thrives in a fast-paced, multicultural environment and is eager to influence JD's expansion through sophisticated talent management and agile problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Partnership: Collaborate with local management to deeply understand business priorities, delivering actionable HR solutions that enhance organizational agility and performance in a competitive retail and logistics landscape.
  • Talent Strategy & Development: Lead local talent acquisition and development initiatives. Design and execute performance management, high-potential identification, and succession planning programs to build a strong leadership pipeline.
  • Complex Stakeholder Management: Navigate complex multi-party collaboration scenarios, effectively managing relationships between local departments and cross-border teams to ensure seamless execution of HR projects.
  • Organizational Culture & Engagement: Shape and promote a dynamic, inclusive, and high-performance-driven work culture. Develop employee engagement initiatives that resonate with the local workforce while aligning with JD's global values.
  • HR Transformation & Compliance: Act as an expert advisor on UK employment law, compensation and benefits, and HR policies. Drive change management efforts to adapt global processes to the UK market context.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize HR analytics to identify organizational trends, proactively proposing improvements to HR operations and talent workflows.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience as an HRBP, ideally in e-commerce, retail, or logistics. A combination of experience in large organizations and fast-growing environments (e.g., scale-ups) is strongly preferred.
  • Functional Expertise: Proven track record in at least one specialized HR module (e.g., talent management, organizational design, or compensation).
  • Skills: Exceptional cognitive and learning agility. Proven ability to navigate complex interpersonal dynamics and build trust with senior stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Languages & Communication: Fluency in English (spoken and written). Strong negotiation and influence skills are essential.
  • Local Knowledge: Solid expertise in UK employment legislation and regulations as well as local HR best practices.
  • AI Experience: Leverages AI coding assistants to drive measurable improvements in productivity.
