eMy client are looking for an experienced Technical Designer to join their creative construction team, specialising in experiential events, pop-up retail, TV, film and brand activations. As a Technical Designer, you will be responsible for translating creative briefs into technically robust construction drawings and fabrication-ready documentation. Working closely with design, production and workshop teams, you'll develop practical solutions that balance creativity, structural integrity and efficient manufactur
e.
This role requires extensive scenic fabrication knowledge and experience within experiential events, pop-up retail, TV or film environments. You'll be confident solving complex technical challenges and promoting a collaborative, solution-focused approach throughout the design proce
ss.

ties• Interpret client and creative briefs and develop practical technical soluti
ons.• Produce detailed construction drawings, technical plans and shop-ready fabrication packa
ges.• Develop structural and fabrication solutions suitable for CNC machining, 3D printing and other manufacturing proces
ses.• Collaborate with designers, project managers and workshop teams to ensure concepts are practical, efficient and cost-effective to bu
ild.• Identify and resolve technical challenges throughout the design and production proc
ess.• Ensure designs meet quality, safety and production requireme
nts.• Promote a proactive problem-solving culture within the design t
eam.• Stay up to date with new materials, technologies and fabrication techniq
ues.

Essential Skills & Expe
rience• Minimum of four years' experience in technical design within creative constru
ction.• Specialist fabrication knowledge within experiential events, pop-up retail, TV or
film.• Strong experience producing construction detailing and shop-ready technical dra
wings.• Excellent understanding of fabrication methods, materials and assembly techn
iques.• Knowledge of designing for CNC machining and 3D pri
nting.• Proficiency in Rhino, SketchUp and other relevant CAD sof
tware.• Excellent technical communication, documentation and presentation s
kills.• Strong organisational skills with exceptional attention to d
etail.• Ability to manage multiple projects and perform well under pre
ssure.• A proactive mindset with a commitment to continuous learning and innov
ation.
