Public Area

Champneys Tring

Contract: Full Time
Salary: up to £12.71 per hour plus gratuities

At Champneys, cleanliness is not just a standard – it is part of our promise to every guest. A calm, immaculate environment is essential to wellbeing, relaxation and the overall Champneys experience.

Our Public Areas team plays a vital role in supporting the guest journey by ensuring that every space looks, smells and feels exceptional. From entrances and lounges to spa facilities and seating areas, your work directly contributes to how guests feel the moment they arrive and throughout their stay.

As a Public Areas Cleaner, you will take pride in creating beautiful, welcoming spaces that invite comfort, relaxation and enjoyment. This is a role for someone who values high standards, works with care and understands the importance of consistency in a luxury environment.

Your role will include:

  • Taking pride in the appearance and atmosphere of your areas, recognising the impact this has on guest wellbeing and experience
  • Maintaining exceptionally high standards of cleanliness across seating areas, spa facilities and all shared spaces
  • Ensuring public toilets are cleaned to the highest standard and fully stocked at all times
  • Supporting the wider housekeeping team when required, including assisting with bedroom and bathroom cleaning
  • Regularly vacuuming, mopping and sweeping floors to maintain consistent standards throughout the resort

Health, safety and standards:

  • Following all health and safety and fire procedures and acting responsibly at all times
  • Using cleaning products and equipment safely and in line with COSHH guidelines
  • Attending required training and completing health and safety modules to ensure best practice
  • Taking personal responsibility for maintaining standards and reporting issues promptly

This role is ideal for someone who:

  • Takes genuine pride in their work
  • Understands the importance of cleanliness in a luxury, wellbeing focused environment
  • Values consistency, care and attention to detail
  • Enjoys being part of a team delivering exceptional guest experiences

At Champneys, every detail matters, and our Public Areas Cleaners are key to creating the calm, comforting environments our guests trust and return for.

Why work at Champneys

At Champneys, Housekeeping is fundamental to the guest experience. A clean, calm and beautifully presented environment is essential to wellbeing, relaxation and trust, and our Housekeeping teams are at the heart of delivering that promise every day.

We believe that outstanding standards come from people who feel valued, supported and proud of the role they play. That’s why Housekeeping at Champneys is recognised as an essential part of the guest journey, not a background function.

  • Playing a vital role in guest wellbeing, creating spaces that feel calm, comforting and impeccably clean
  • Working to luxury standards, where attention to detail and pride in presentation truly matter
  • Being part of a supportive, respectful team, where consistency, reliability and care are valued
  • Working in beautiful resort environments, designed around health, relaxation and tranquillity
  • Opportunities to learn and develop, with training in standards, safety and best practice
  • Belonging to a heritage wellness brand, where people matter and every detail contributes to the overall experience

At Champneys, we know that a truly exceptional guest experience starts with how our spaces look, feel and smell. Our Housekeeping teams take pride in making that happen, and we value the important role they play in helping guests relax, reset and return.
