Warehouse Operative

Overview of the role We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Warehouse Operative to join our team in a multi-functional warehouse setting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for various warehouse activities, including picking orders using digitised handheld picking scanners, using stock accounting scanners, and ensuring efficient operation within the warehouse. Hours for this role are 4pm - midnight Monday to Friday. Main Responsibility Utilise digitized handheld picking scanners to accurately pick orders and fulfill customer requirements.Operate stock accounting scanners to maintain accurate inventory records and track stock movements.Assist in receiving, storing, organising, and distributing products within the warehouse.Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of the warehouse to maintain a safe working environment.Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational goals and targets.Always adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies.Perform other warehouse duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager.Handle and package product carefully to prevent damage during handling and transportMaintain a positive and proactive attitude to contribute to a collaborative and productive work environment in the warehouse The Ideal Candidate Key knowledge and skills required:Previous experience in fast paced warehouse environment preferred but not requiredFamiliarity with digitized handheld picking scanner and stock accounting scanners in an assetGood communication and ability to work as a team is advantageousPhysical ability to lift and move heavy objects as neededWillingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and warehouse processesProblem solving & Change:Addressing discrepancies between physical inventory and system recordsResolving issues related to pick errors or damaged productTroubleshooting pick issues and scanner issues.Adapting to new technologies and software updates to warehouse OperationsEmbracing continuous improvement initiatives to streamline warehouse processes Package Description Competitive salariesExcellent training & development opportunitiesPaid HolidaysWorkplace pension schemeStaff DiscountTravel Loans and more…..
