Class 1 Driver
Location: Widnes
Shifts: We offer start times between 12:00 pm and 12:00 am. Day shift patterns are available Monday to Friday or Tuesday to Saturday, while PM shifts are available on Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday.
Pay Rate: £16.98 - £20.55 (depending on shift days/times)

\n Our client is a third-party provider of transportation and logistics services that offers a range of services from, Drayage, Global freight forwarding & Full truckload transport. The company is committed to environmental sustainability and works with customers to create action plans to reduce emissions.

\n We're looking for full-time, Class 1 Drivers to join us at our site in Widnes. These roles are temp to perm for the ideal candidates. We have a mixture of start times and days available; you will typically work between 10-12-hour shifts.

Please note: To work with this client, a driving assessment (theory and practical) must be passed.

What you'll do on a typical shift:

• Multidrop deliveries between customer sites.
\n
• On a typical shift you will carry out 1-6 drops.
\n
• Safely operate your vehicle adhering to business standards.
\n
• Will be delivering fresh produce to client sites across the Northwest and up as far as Cumbria.
\n
• Trailers will be loaded by the client but will need to be unloaded at each drop, where roll cages will need to be pulled into designated areas at each depot.
\n
• Ensure paperwork is all completed and signed off before leaving each site.
\n
• Vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness, ensure the load is secured correctly and compliance with VOSA.

What you need to succeed with our client:

\n

\n
• Must have a multidrop experience!
\n
• HGV1 licence, Digital Tachograph Card, Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)
\n
• No more than six penalty points on your licence and no DD, DR, IN or CD endorsements.
\n
• A valid CPC and Digital Tacho card.
\n
• Multidrop delivery experience.
\n
• Excellent knowledge of the UK road network.
\n
• A can-do attitude
