LOCATION: Central London (5 days at the office but can consider hybrid working)
Tax & Accounting Consultant Main Responsibilities:
• Providing Accounting services including bookkeeping, Monthly/quarterly management accounts, settlement report to head office, payroll calculation, VAT refunds, etc.
• Supporting transfer pricing taxation and the optimal use of double taxation treaties
• Prepare and review corporate tax returns
• Helping businesses minimise tax liabilities through effective planning and identifying available credits, deductions, and exemptions
• Tax Reporting - ensure timely and accurate preparation of tax provisions for financial reporting purposes, in accordance with IFRS or UK GAAP
• Accurate advice as a tax advisor for expatriates, managers, and sole proprietors
• Providing advice on personal tax matters, including income tax, capital gains tax, inheritance tax, and tax-efficient investment strategies for individuals and families
• Advising expatriates and internationally mobile individuals on tax implications of moving between jurisdictions, including residency, domicile, and cross-border taxation
Tax & Accounting Consultant Ideal Candidate:
• ACCA, CPA, or other relevant professional Tax or Accounting certifications required
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in tax (especially corporate tax) and accounting, ideally with an accounting firm in the UK
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field in advance
• Knowledge of corporate tax, personal income tax, accounting, and financial reporting
• Excellent management of multiple priorities and deadlines
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication skills in spoken and written English (business level)
• Japanese not essential, but advantageous
