Our client, a renowned NHS Hospital based in Glasgow, is eagerly seeking a Consultant General Radiologist to join the busy Radiology department.
The Hospital last year treated over 100,000 inpatients, over 300,000 outpatients and over 90,000 patients in the emergency department. The Radiology Department provides full imaging services across the hospital. The Radiology department in the past year saw over 405,000 examinations. This included plain film, MRI, CT, Nuclear Medicine, Fluoroscopy & Angiography and Mammography.
As a Consultant, you will be required to take an active part in job planning, developing any specialties and participating in developments in Clinical Governance. You will be responsible for the professional supervision and management of junior medical staff.
The position comes with a job plan of 10PAs - 8.5 PAs for Direct Clinical Care and 1.5 dedicated to Supporting Professional Activities. The job plan is subject to review and can be discussed with the clinical lead upon appointment.
The position offers an excellent basic salary of between £75,249 - £102,465 (depending on experience). You will also be offered up to 50% banding payment. You will be entitled 30 days study leave as well as receiving pay enhancements for any out-of-hours work that you do. You will also be automatically enrolled onto the NHS Superannuation Scheme.
