Experience required…
Essential:
- Degree in a related technical field (environmental / civil engineering) or equivalent experience
- Existing experience of working in Flood Risk Management in the private or public sector (such as the Environment Agency, Lead Local Flood Authorities or Internal Drainage Boards)
- Experience of using hydraulic modelling outputs to create flood depth-damage calculations
- Experience of costing flood risk management options and undertaking benefit-cost economic analysis
- Ability to undertake HM Green Book compliant options appraisal and evaluation for flood risk management schemes, including use of the Multi Coloured Manual
- Experience of using the FCERM Partnership Funding Calculator to assess GIA funding capability
- Experience of writing flood risk management scheme business cases using the HM Treasury Five Case Model
- Ability to work with key stakeholders, such as Risk Management Authorities, developers, contractors and landowners
- Experience of developing partnership funding opportunities
- Ability to produce technical and non-technical summary reports
Desirable:
- A full UK driving licence
- Chartered or working towards chartered status
- Experience of managing and analysing large datasets and GIS / design software (e.g. MapInfo, Arc, QGIS, AutoCAD)
