The Role

\n

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will:

\n

\n
• Support pupils with additional learning needs within the classroom environment.
\n
• Deliver targeted interventions and tailored learning support.
\n
• Work closely with class teachers, SENDCo, and external professionals.
\n
• Help pupils develop confidence, independence, and positive learning behaviours.
\n
• Support children's academic, social, and emotional development.
\n
• Encourage positive engagement in learning activities.
\n
• Assist with the implementation of individual support plans.
\n
• Promote an inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
\n
• Build strong and positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families.
\n

• Have experience working with children with SEND in schools, youth work, care, or similar settings.
\n
• Are patient, resilient, and nurturing in their approach.
\n
• Have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
\n
• Can support children with a range of learning, social, emotional, and behavioural needs.
\n
• Are committed to inclusion and helping pupils achieve their potential.
\n
• Work well as part of a team while also using their own initiative.
\n
• Have a positive and proactive attitude.
\n
