CNC Miller Programmer

Shift Pattern: 4 Days On, 4 Days Off (7:30am ? 6:00pm)
Salary: £17.00 ? £21.00 per hour (Dependent on Experience)
The Role
A well-established precision engineering company based in Atherstone is looking to recruit an experienced CNC Miller Programmer to join its growing machining team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled machinist who is confident programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines while producing high-quality precision components to customer specifications.
Working a 4 on, 4 off shift pattern, you'll become part of a successful engineering business committed to quality, continuous improvement and delivering exceptional workmanship.
Key Responsibilities
Programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines.
Producing precision-engineered components from engineering drawings.
Editing and optimising CNC programmes where required.
Working with Heidenhain and Siemens control systems.
Selecting appropriate tooling, fixtures and cutting parameters.
Carrying out first-off inspections and in-process quality checks.
Maintaining tight tolerances and high standards of workmanship.
Ensuring machines and work areas are kept clean and organised.
Following all health and safety procedures.
Requirements
Previous experience programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines.
Strong knowledge of either Heidenhain or Siemens controls (experience with both is advantageous).
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Experience machining a variety of materials.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Positive attitude with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
