Year 3 Teaching Assistant\n

Location: Smethwick
Salary: £90-110 per day (dependent on experience)
Contract: Full-Time, Term Time Only
Start Date: ASAP / November 2026

Monarch Education is recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and inclusive primary school in the Smethwick area for a dedicated Year 3 Teaching Assistant.

\n

This is a varied role supporting the class teacher within a Year 3 classroom, alongside providing targeted 1:1 support to a pupil at key points throughout the school day. The successful candidate will play an important role in helping pupils remain engaged, make progress, and achieve their full potential.

Responsibilities:\n

\n
• Supporting the class teacher with the delivery of engaging lessons and activities.
\n
• Working with small groups of pupils to reinforce learning objectives.
\n
• Providing 1:1 support to a designated pupil throughout parts of the school day.
\n
• Encouraging positive behaviour and promoting pupil wellbeing.
\n
• Assisting with classroom preparation and organisation.
\n
• Supporting pupils with varying learning needs to access the curriculum.
\n

Requirements:\n

\n
• Previous experience working within a primary school setting.
\n
• A positive, patient, and proactive approach.
\n
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
\n
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
\n
• Relevant qualifications are desirable but not essential.
\n
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
\n
