Monarch Education are currently supporting a secondary school in the Small Heath area who are seeking to appoint a full-time English Teacher from September.

This is a long-term opportunity with the possibility of becoming a permanent position, making it an ideal role for teachers looking for stability and career progression within a supportive school environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping students develop their skills in both English Language and English Literature. What the role will involve:\n

• Teaching English Language and Literature across KS3 and KS4
\n
• Delivering engaging and differentiated lessons that meet the needs of all learners
\n
• Supporting students in developing reading, writing and analytical skills
\n
• Preparing pupils for GCSE examinations and assessments
\n
• Monitoring, assessing and recording student progress
\n
• Providing constructive feedback to support attainment
\n
• Managing classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies
\n
• Working collaboratively with colleagues within the English department
\n
• Contributing to a positive and supportive learning environment
\n

What the school are looking for:\n

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
\n
• Experience teaching English within a secondary school setting
\n
• Strong knowledge of the KS3 and KS4 English curriculum
\n
• Confidence delivering both English Language and English Literature
\n
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
\n
• Strong organisational and planning abilities
\n
• Effective communication and relationship-building skills
\n
• A professional, reliable and proactive approach
\n
• A genuine commitment to improving outcomes for students
