\n Are you a commercially focused professional with a strong Quantity Surveying background looking for your next opportunity within a highly structured and process-driven environment?
\n I am currently working with a leading organisation that is looking to appoint a Commercial Manager to support its commercial and project delivery functions in London.
\n This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded Quantity Surveyor who enjoys working across cost assurance, governance, financial control and project cost management, with the ability to work collaboratively with a range of internal and external stakeholders.

The Role\n

\n As Commercial Manager, you will play an important role in supporting robust commercial governance and financial management across projects. You will be responsible for reviewing and challenging costs, supporting project financial processes and ensuring strong commercial controls are maintained.
\n Key responsibilities will include:

\n

\n
• Analysing quotations and challenging costs to ensure value and accuracy
\n
• Understanding and reviewing Bills of Quantities and Schedules of Rates
\n
• Supporting cost assurance and validation of project budgets and estimates
\n
• Preparing and reviewing Financial Approval submissions
\n
• Producing Stage 0 and Stage 1 cost estimates to support project feasibility and business cases
\n
• Providing commercial support throughout pre-construction activities
\n
• Supporting project cost reporting, forecasting and financial control
\n
• Assisting with the processing of invoices and issuing purchase orders
\n
• Supporting invoicing and payment procedures
\n
• Working within established commercial governance and compliance processes
\n
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
\n
• Managing multiple priorities and delivering activities accurately and within agreed deadlines
\n
• Contributing to improvements in the accuracy and consistency of project cost estimates and commercial processes
\n

About You\n

\n The ideal candidate will have a strong commercial or Quantity Surveying background and experience working within a structured, process-driven environment.
\n You will ideally have:

\n

\n
• Experience in Quantity Surveying, commercial management or project cost management
\n
• Experience in project cost reporting and forecasting
\n
• A strong understanding of cost management and commercial governance
\n
• Knowledge of Bills of Quantities and Schedules of Rates
\n
• Experience analysing quotations and challenging cost build-ups
\n
• Experience working with invoicing and payment processes
\n
• An awareness of UK accounting standards, or a willingness to develop this knowledge
\n
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
\n
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
\n
• Excellent organisation skills and attention to detail
\n
• The ability to manage multiple demands and work effectively to deadlines
\n
• Strong stakeholder management skills
\n
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, OneNote, Teams and SharePoint
\n
• Experience working within a highly structured or process-driven environment
\n
