Monarch Education is currently recruiting enthusiastic and dedicated Level 2 Teaching Assistants to work in a range of welcoming and supportive primary schools across the Oldham area. These are full-time opportunities starting in January 2027, ideal for candidates who are passionate about supporting children's learning and development.

As a Level 2 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers to support pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2, helping to create a positive and engaging learning environment. You may be required to provide both whole-class support and targeted interventions to small groups or individual pupils.

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting teaching and learning across the primary curriculum
\n
• Assisting the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom management
\n
• Providing one-to-one and small group support where required
\n
• Encouraging pupil engagement, confidence and progress
\n
• Supporting pupils' social, emotional and academic development
\n
• Maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment
\n

\n

Requirements

\n

\n
• Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification
\n
• Recent experience working within a UK primary school setting
\n
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
\n
• A positive, proactive and flexible approach to work
\n
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
\n

\n

Desirable

\n

\n
• Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
\n
• Knowledge of interventions and strategies to support additional learning needs
\n

\n
