Accounts Assistant
Location: Rural Tunbridge Wells (On-site)
Contract: Part-time, 2 days per week | Permanent
Salary: Depending on experience (circa £30K pro rata)
Holiday: 28 days including bank holidays (pro-rata)
\n Are you a reliable and detail-oriented finance professional looking for a flexible, hands-on role? Our client, a reputable organisation based in rural Tunbridge Wells, is hiring for an Accounts Assistant to support their finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a busy, friendly environment with varied responsibilities.
What you will be doing:
\n * Posting customer invoices and managing customer accounts using Sage 50 Professional
\n * Chasing overdue payments and handling credit control to ensure timely collections
\n * Creating and maintaining accurate customer records
\n * Processing payments via Direct Debit and managing disconnections or new occupiers
\n * Handling customer correspondence and supporting stock control activities
\n * Posting supplier invoices and assisting with other finance and admin tasks across the business
What you will bring:
\n * Experience using Sage 50 Professional
\n * Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel
\n * Excellent attention to detail and record-keeping skills
\n * Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks independently
\n * Confident communicator, comfortable liaising with customers and colleagues
