Join Medacs Healthcare as a PIP Functional Assessor / Disability Assessor
\n
Are you an NMC‑registered Nurse or HCPC‑registered Paramedic, Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist ready for a change from frontline clinical work, but keen to continue using your expertise?
\n
As a PIP Functional Assessor / Disability Assessor at Medacs Healthcare, you'll complete Personal Independence Payment (PIP) functional assessments to understand how health conditions affect everyday life. This is a non‑hands‑on clinical role centred on clinical reasoning, analysis and report writing.

The hybrid working model combines home working with time at one of our assessment centres, offering predictable hours, long‑term stability and a healthier work-life balance.

What you'll do
\n
\n- \nConduct face‑to‑face and telephone PIP assessments in a professional and empathetic manner \n
\n
\n
\n- \nAnalyse medical evidence and clinical information \n

\n
\n- \nProduce accurate, detailed and evidence‑based written reports \n
\n
\n
\n- \nWork to defined quality standards and clinical frameworks \n

\n
\n- \nEngage positively with feedback and development opportunities \n
\n
\n
\n- \nCollaborate with clinical and administrative colleagues \n
\n
\n
\n- \nAttend the assessment centre as required \n
\n
\n
What we're looking for

Essential:
\n
\n- \nRegistered Nurse (RGN, RMN, RNLD), Physiotherapist, Paramedic or Occupational Therapist \n

\n
\n
\n- \nMinimum 1 year's UK clinical experience \n
\n
\n
\n- \nStrong written and verbal communication skills \n
\n
\n
\n- \nConfident use of digital systems (35 WPM typing speed) \n
\n
\n
\n- \nRight to work in the UK (sponsorship not available) \n
\n
\n
Desirable
\n
\n- \nExperience in functional assessment or advisory roles \n
\n
\n
\n- \nConfidence in producing high‑quality written clinical reports \n
\n
\n
What's on offer
\n
\n- \nCompetitive salary with structured pay progression and bonus potential \n

\n
\n- \nClear progression routes and CPD opportunities \n
\n
\n
\n- \n£2,500 referral bonus (terms apply) \n
