Monarch Education is working with a range of Primary, Secondary and SEND schools across Birmingham and the surrounding areas and is looking to recruit experienced Attendance Officers for full-time opportunities.

\n

These roles are typically Monday to Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm, although start and finish times may vary depending on the individual school's requirements.

\n

Please note: We cannot consider applications from candidates who do not have previous experience working within a UK school environment.

\n

To be considered, you must have:

\n

\n
• Previous experience working as an Attendance Officer, Attendance Administrator or School Administrator within a UK school
\n
• Experience using school management systems such as SIMS, Arbor, Bromcom, ScholarPack or similar
\n
• Experience managing attendance, pupil records and safeguarding procedures
\n
• Full-time availability, Monday to Friday
\n
• Strong administrative, communication and organisational skills
\n
• Confidence working with attendance data and reporting systems
\n

\n

As an Attendance Officer, you may be responsible for:

\n

\n
• Monitoring and recording pupil attendance and punctuality
\n
• Producing and analysing attendance reports
\n
• Following up on pupil absences with parents and carers
\n
• Maintaining accurate attendance records
\n
• Working closely with safeguarding and pastoral teams
\n
• Supporting attendance improvement initiatives across the school
\n
• Managing attendance data through school management systems
\n
• Ensuring compliance with school and local authority attendance procedures
\n

We're looking for candidates who:

\n
• Have previous attendance experience within a school setting
\n
• Are confident using school systems and Microsoft Office
\n
• Have excellent attention to detail
\n
• Can manage sensitive information professionally and confidentially
\n
• Have strong communication skills and are confident liaising with parents, staff and external agencies
\n
• Can work effectively in a busy school environment
\n
