Job Title: Engineering Manager

Reporting to the Service Manager, you will perform a wide range of tasks and leading the department to ensure support is given to the wider business

For the successful Engineering Manager our client is offering:

\n - £45K - £50K depending on experience
\n - Days position (8am to 5pm)
\n - Permanent position

The role - Engineering Manager:
\n
We have an exciting opportunity for an Engineering Manager to join an established manufacturing / Service team
\n
We are looking for organised and technically sound professionals who have an engineering background ideally within the crane / lifting equipment industry.
\n
The Duties - Engineering Manager
\n
\n - The role requires detailed and process driven candidates who can hit the ground running and strive in rapidly changing environments.
\n - Excellent communication skills are required along with the ability to build relationships with various stakeholders and inspire change.
\n - Managing and co-ordinating the Engineering department/workload
\n - Defining, measuring and report upon department KPI
\n - Supporting and implementing the business strategy
\n - Management and development of Works instructions
\n - Technical trouble shooting
\n - Working with Sales team to deliver customer requirements
\n - Pricing and cost control within department
\n - Monitoring and complying with Standards Compliance Advisor, Regs/ standards and other industry bodies/ accreditation's
\n
\n
What our client is looking for in an Engineering Manager:
\n
\n - Must be qualified to HND or Degree level in Mechanical engineering
\n - Ideally the successful candidates would have 10 year's experience within the commercial vehicle industry
\n - Have experience managing teams
\n - Have excellent technical knowledge
\n - Possess good I.T. skills, including MS Office and the SAP ERP System
\n - Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
\n - Be confident and comfortable interfacing with other departments and stakeholders
\n - Be self-motivated, capable of working under pressure, and able to operate with minimal supervision
\n - Be a good team player, flexible with regards to tasks performed
\n
