Behaviour Support Assistant
Location: Hull
Salary: £93 to £115 a day depending on experience
Contract: Full-time
Date: September 2026
GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behaviour Support Assistant to work with children and young people in schools across Hull. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of students who require additional behavioural and emotional support.
Provide one-to-one and small group behaviour support to pupils.
Help implement behaviour management strategies and individual support plans.
Build positive relationships with students, staff, and families.
Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing within the classroom.
Support students with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.
Work collaboratively with teachers and the school's pastoral team.
Experience working with children or young people in an educational, care, or support setting is desirable.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Calm, patient, and resilient approach to challenging behaviour.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
