Who you’ll be supporting & more about the role:
Working closely with the Service Leader and Support Worker Team, you will be responsible for supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism and mental health concerns to live their daily lives. Each person we support is unique, so the support you provide will be person-centred and will focus on achieving the best lives possible with them.
Our Shifts: 8am to 3pm & 3pm to 10pm
Shift Requirement: 37.5 hours (Permanent) and must be available for both shifts
Driving License: No
What you will be doing Nethereden is a supported living service providing person-centred care and support for four young men with autism and complex needs. The service is designed to promote independence, dignity, and quality of life within a safe, structured and homely environment. We are aged between 18 and 32 and have lots of different interests and hobbies. As a team we are trained in disengagement, epilepsy, autism and numerous other training activities. We pride ourselves on having person centred homes, each house is decorated in the way they like it. They have many interests, this includes going to the cinema, swimming, socialising at T club and going out or long walks. Our staff team need to fit as we like to go for very long walks at quite a fast pace. They have further interests ranging from arts and crafts, play dough, balloons, baking, gardening, cooking, games and puzzles. They strive to live as independently as they can and be inclusive in the community. They love spending time with staff who are fun, kind, caring, empathetic and who enjoy having a good laugh. They have 2:1 staffing and 1:1 staffing in the services. There are various shifts during the day and evenings and have sleepovers. In order to support to have the best lives possible out team have specialised training in autism and learning disabilitys. We are looking for full time and part time Advanced Support Workers with experience of complex needs and behaviours.
