Community Integrated Care is one of the UK’s largest health and social care charities. We work hard to enriching the lives of people with many different care needs. It’s exciting and rewarding work, and we’re full of pride and passion for what we do.

Since the early days, we’ve grown to provide many innovative and bespoke care services to thousands of people across England and Scotland. We want to provide support based on the principles of choice, dignity and respect. This resonates in our vision of ‘Your Life, Your Choice’ and our strategy ‘Best Lives Possible’.

We have strong values and we’re proud to pioneer new ways of delivering social care to stand out in our sector. In the past two years, we have won or made the shortlist for over national and regional awards!

We are also focused on our people. Our Support Workers are dedicated and passionate about going ‘the extra mile’ for the people we support and in return, we go the extra mile for them by investing in pay, recognition, wellbeing and continued professional and personal development. We will provide you with all the training, support and personal protective equipment you need in your role and will help you develop, should you decide you want to develop your career with us.

Who you’ll be supporting & more about the role:

As an experienced Female Support Worker, the role will be supporting 4 ladies who have learning disabilities, autism and mental health concerns with their daily routines and ensuring their safety is maintained overnight. Previous experience of supporting individuals with dementia is desirable.

The ladies we support live together in a 4 bedroom bungalow in Crossmyloof in the Southside of Glasgow. This is a nice, quiet residential area near to Shawlands with good transport links by train and bus and a variety of amenities close by within the community.

The ladies have a shared car so a driver is preferred.

The ladies we support enjoy spending time in their garden, especially in good weather, for BBQs and dinner outside and enjoy the summer house and keeping the garden nice with flowers and decorations.

Some of the ladies attend day centres and are active in the community, participating in activities such as bowling and going to the cinema. Keeping fit and mobile with regular walks and managing a healthy diet are also important to them. They enjoy connecting with family and regularly meet for visits and days out.

We are looking for a female Support Worker who is upbeat, confident and independent who can use their own initiative to plan activities.

Shift times vary from Monday - Sunday but are typically:

- 7am - 8pm

- 7am - 7pm

- 3pm - 10pm

- 8pm - 8am (waking nights)

We are currently recruiting for a full-time permanent role

Sometimes the people we support really need a male or female person to support them. For this particular role, a female colleague is required. This is a genuine occupational requirement as defined by the Equality Act

Your values:

We know it takes a special person to work in social care and we recognise that not everyone that would be perfect for the role, will have professional experience. This is why we're really passionate about recruiting to individuals’ values and we recruit people from all walks of life; From people with vast experience in a support worker or care assistant role, from people with lived experiences who may have friends or relatives with disabilities or have looked after older relatives, to people with no experience at all.

Naturally it is important too that you share our company values - We Include; We Deliver; We Aspire; We Respect; We Enable, which are at the heart of everything we do and ensure that we deliver high quality, consistent care and support. People's values are important to use, so we look for people with:

- A problem solver
- Resilience
- Patience
- Empathy, compassion and sensitivity to others
- A strong work ethic
- Reliability
- Honesty
- Determination
