SEN Teacher Opportunities (3 Positions Available) | Cambridge

We are recruiting three SEN Teachers to join a well-established specialist school in the Cambridge area, with opportunities to start in September. These are full-time, permanent positions within a supportive and highly specialised setting dedicated to helping pupils thrive both academically and personally.

The school supports children and young people aged 5–19 with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), providing an inclusive, structured, and nurturing environment tailored to each learner's individual needs.

The Role

As an SEN Teacher, you will play a key role in helping pupils reach their full potential through engaging, personalised teaching and consistent support. You will work closely with colleagues, families, and wider professionals to create positive outcomes for every student.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, differentiated teaching that enables pupils to make meaningful progress
• Create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment where students feel safe, valued, and motivated to succeed
• Use autism-specific teaching approaches to support individual learning needs
• Take an active, hands-on approach throughout the school day
• Respond confidently and effectively to challenges, demonstrating resilience and adaptability
• Support pupils in developing both academic skills and personal independence

What We're Looking For

To be successful in this role, you will:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) (essential)
• Have professional or personal experience supporting children or young people with Special Educational Needs (essential)
• Be proactive, adaptable, and able to use your own initiative (essential)
• Hold an Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to obtain one
• Be passionate about supporting pupils with autism and committed to inclusive education

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
