Graduate Secondary Teaching Assistant

Full-time | Term-Time Only | £500-530 per week

Location: Birmingham

A welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Birmingham is seeking a Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their team and support students in achieving their full potential.

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and students across KS3 and KS4, fostering a positive learning environment and encouraging students to succeed.

The Role

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support classroom learning across KS3-4
  • Provide small group and 1:1 intervention to raise attainment
  • Assist with lesson preparation and resource management
  • Help monitor student progress and engagement and provide feedback to teachers
  • Encourage a culture of confidence, resilience and ambition

This position is perfect for a high-calibre graduate who is passionate about education and strives to make a difference. Therefore, they will:

  • Hold a 2:1 or first class in Education, Psychology, English, Maths or a related subject from a leading university
  • Possess a passion for education and working with young people
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively
  • Demonstrate a commitment to a career in education
  • Right to work in the UK
